Summer Cross Country Camp

The main focus of the Cross Country (XC) Summer program is to expand young runners (JV and Varsity) knowledge around the sport of XC and running. It will provide a safe and effective means to meeting teammates and put in valuable training time over the important summer months.

This summer training program is offered to ALL (varsity and JV) runners who plan on running boys or girls (7th-12th grade) high school cross country this fall. This program is offered 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. The running sessions, strength sessions and games will take place at the north end of Colby Lake Park right off Valley Creek Drive. 

Start Date: Tuesday June 25, 2024

Week of July 4th will be Captains Practice

End Date: August 1st, 2024

Cost: $225 per athlete or $300 per family.

What’s included: 

  • Training schedule that will match running ability, history, and goals of the runner

  • Training group and onsite coaching staff to provide accountability and motivation while logging quality summer miles for the upcoming XC season

  • Supervised run specific strength training program that will focus on developing core strength and power to prevent injury, tolerate running volume and improve running performance.

  • Strava training group to log miles and assist with training accountability. The log will be used to communicate with the XC coaches as well as provide valuable feedback to the athlete for year over year progression. 

  • Various educational topics delivered by elite runners and coaching staff
